The time always goes so quick from first meeting a couple to the wedding day despite it being years in some cases. No matter how long after first meeting clients I always receive a warm welcome from couples when we meet on the wedding day and this was no different with Molly & Alex at their Brackenborough Hotel wedding.

Molly started the day getting ready at a fabulous barn-style conversion close to Burgh Le Marsh, Lincolnshire. The house was incredible and provided loads of opportunities to photograph the details and getting ready in a wonderful setting.

With the church ceremony only 5 minutes away it was an easy journey to meet Alex to photograph him and his guests arrive. A first for me was meeting a vicar who had is very on dog helping out throughout the service!

The weather was a little hit and miss throughout the day but something which helps to provide variety from moody clouds and windswept veils to wonderful golden hour light to capture stunning portraits, never a dull moment.

After the ceremony, we headed back to one of my favourite local venues, Brackenbourgh Hotel for the wedding reception. The venue is always a great place to photograph with the lake, surrounding fields and flower garden and the staff always do a great job. 

Golden hour is always one of my favourite times to photograph, the light is so soft and warm and makes for really romantic wedding images. When I add this wonderful light along with some magical crystals to shoot through the effect is always incredible to see.

Finishing the night off on the dance floor with the guests is always fun and it was extra special when I witness a 10 piece band (Funkified) get the guests in the mood. They were amazing just like the day!
