INTRODUCTION
Being a UK & Lincolnshire wedding photographer based in Loth, I have been lucky enough to have been photographing weddings now for over 15 years.
One of the benefits of travelling around the UK and particularly around my home county of Lincolnshire is that I get to visit and photograph at some pretty amazing wedding venues (and I’ve been to ALOT).
I have loved photographing at each and every one of my couples wedding venues and some of my favourites are ones that are a little closer to home, and in the case of The Brackenborough Hotel so close, it’s only a 10-minute drive away.

VENUE OVERVIEW
Brackenborough Hotel Wedding Venue
I have always had a soft spot when it comes to photographing Brackenborough Hotel weddings. This is not only due to the fact that I live locally to the venue but because it has such a fantastic set up for weddings, accommodating large and small groups with excellent decor set within acres of fantastic grounds.
The Brackenborough Hotel is a member of the Oakridge Hotels group is a boutique-style hotel with a AA 3* grading along with its sister hotel The Ashbourne. It’s just perfect for capturing stunning wedding images and as such really is a good choice to make for your wedding day!
WEDDING CEREMONY OPTIONS
Where Can I Have My Ceremony?
Brackenborough Hotel is licenced to hold civil ceremonies with a number of options available depending on the weather conditions and the size of your wedding party.
Signature Suite
The Signature Suite is the smaller of the two suites and is a fab option for a small group of family and guests. It’s tastefully decorated with an intimate atmosphere. There’s a private bar, patio and dance floor it’s perfect for smaller events of up to 150 guests.
Tennyson Suite
The Tennyson Suite is located in a stand-alone building a short distance from the main hotel itself. It can hold around 200 guests inside. the main entrance leads you into the reception and bar area with a further set of doors leading into the main room.
The room itself has a high ceiling with ornate chandeliers, tall mirrors on the wall which when lit makes for a stunning wedding backdrop. The side of the Tennyson Suite has a large set of bi-folding doors which leads you onto the grounds of the estate. This is a great way for your guest to mingle inside and out and keeps your wedding very well contained.
I have photographed weddings that can easily hold a large band through to smaller one person acts. The acoustics in the room are great which means whoever you have whether it be a singer or a DJ the sounds reach everyone.
Outdoor Pavilions
There is an outdoor pavilion located outside the Tennyson and Signature Suites so if the weather is fine and you’re looking for a more outdoor experience this is a great choice.
A Church Wedding
Holding just your wedding reception at the Brackenborough Hotel and getting married elsewhere has always proved to be a popular choice for couples. There are a number of religious ceremony options around Louth and the surrounding area the most popular being:

GETTING MARRIED AT VENUE
A Wedding Day Breakdown
So what’s it really like getting married at the venue.
Well as a wedding photographer with over 15 years experience this is a great choice for producing amazing images that you’ll cherish and make your family and friends jealous of.
The Hotel is positioned within six acres of landscaped gardens featuring a number of outdoor gazebo’s, quaint seating areas and a beautiful pond. The opportunities for wedding photographs are plentiful with a range of areas, you can spend your time in to capture something a little different on your wedding day.

Getting Ready
There are a number of room options available for getting ready in as detailed above and if you do decide to get ready there it can help take the stress and strain of travelling on your wedding day giving you more time to relax and sit back.
The Wedding Ceremony
The ceremonies are conducted by the local registrar which in the case of the Brackenborough Hotel is located at Louth Registry office. This is ordinarily done by Shirley a lovely lady who is sure to make your ceremony special.
What about Confetti?
There are substantial grounds around the Hotel and confetti throwing has never been an issue.
Group Photographs
There are a number of areas that offer opportunities for wedding photographs of you your friends and family.
Couples Portraits
When the group photographs have been taken spending a little time on capturing photographs of my clients alone is always a great opportunity for a relaxed time with each other.
The Wedding Breakfast
The chef here always produces outstanding food whether you chose to eat in their dining facility or as part of the function suite you won’t be disappointed. Offering a buffet menu for the larger guest numbers or a seated meal there are options to suit any taste.
Cutting The Wedding Cake
If you are having a cake then the Hotel can help you feature it to it’s best. There is the option of a large cake stand and it can be set back in the corner of the room ready for when you decide to cut it. Many couples choose to do this just before the first dance where their guests can gather around to take photographs too.
The Evening Reception
The signature suite, in particular, is well equipped to handle a great evening party. With the bar at the front and a great lighting set-up, it provides some real atmosphere for everyone in attendance.

How To Get There
Situated on the outskirts of Louth (my home town) and setback in a quiet location just off the A16 the location is easy to get to for your guests with ample parking on site.
