Nicola & Matthew

WEDDING BLOG | Nicola & Matthew 2

It is always a thrill being a Lincolnshire wedding photographer as it takes you to many amazing wedding venues and Scrivelsby Walled Garden was no exception.

Set in 250 year old walled garden with it’s rustic vibe it was the perfect setting for an epic wedding reception.

The day started at the wedding which was held at the beautiful St Helens Church in Scrivelsby. Set on a hill affording some incredible views over the Lincolnshire Wolds, it was a wonderfully sunny day for the guests arriving and for the reception that followed.

Once the ceremony had finished capturing images of Nicola and Matthew in this scenery with the Lincolnshire Wolds as a backdrop made for some great images. It was the natural setting to capture the guests arriving and for the subsequent group photographs afterwards.

Once the ceremony ended we made our way over to a Lincolnshire wedding venue that I had not photographed at before called Scrivelsby Walled Garden.

The garden is located in the small village of Scrivelsby and is in a magical setting of woodland and wildflower meadow reminding me of a setting out of Alice in Wonderland. With the garden being secluded it was a great location for the wedding guests to enjoy the surrounding and of course for me to capture some stunning images of the bride and groom.

The garden had the capacity to hold a large marquee which was set up for the reception party and had been decorated with bunting and coloured lanterns. It was great to be able to incorporate all these unusual decorative elements into their wedding images.
