STOKE ROCHFORD HALL
Wedding Grantham
Deborah & Nick
Every so often I great friends choose to get married which is always presents that awkward moment, do I get invited as a guest or do I get asked to do their wedding photography. When I attended the wedding of Nick & Deborah I was lucky enough to have the best of both worlds. Wedding photography is in my blood so I couldn’t resist picking the camera up for at least part of the day so I agreed to cover Deborah getting ready whilst another great photographer friend did a wonderful job of covering the rest of the day.
Deborah and her family had hired a barn conversion close to Stoke Rochford which meant the journey was only 10 minutes away. the barn had been converted beautifully and gave the perfect opportunity to capture some amazing getting ready images for her.
Once the getting ready was complete Deborah made her way to the wedding via a vintage Rolls Royce wedding car. She was sitting in good footsteps at it had originally been used to transport Winston Churchill.
Once we arrived at the ceremony I begrudgingly put my camera down and became a guest watching some dear friends tie the knot inside the wonderful orangery. However, during the wedding reception, I managed to sneak in a few more images before finally capturing an amazing first dance image at the end of the evening.
I have taken images at weddings at Stoke Rochford Hall many times but this day was made extra special with lots of friends around.
