It is always great to have the opportunity to photograph at a new and interesting wedding venue and I was delighted when Rachael and Peter chose me as their Granary Barn Boston Wedding Photographer.

The day was forecast for rain and the British weather didn’t disappoint however Rachael and Peter were so relaxed during the day hey didn’t let it stop them having a great time and the rain helped to create some unique images for them both. It was a great way to show that it doesn’t matter what the weather does on your wedding day there is always good light to be found to photograph so for any couples out there worried about the weather and their photos, don’t just embrace it and let’s get creative together for some amazing images.

The day started with a great mix of getting ready shots with Rachael before I met up with Peter and his groomsmen at the local pub to capture them ‘relaxing’ before the big ‘I do’.

The wedding at St Wilfred’s Church, Alford was lovely and gave great opportunities to captures the readings and the ceremony before heading off to capture some memories of there wedding at the Granary Barn, Boston. The Granary Barn is a wonderful conversion making it a great choice for couples for their wedding reception with a fantastic light set up it makes for creative backlit wedding images.

The grounds are also a delight to photograph in and we wasted no time wandering into the local field to create some great flash images. Despite the rain, we managed to make it look like the sun was setting and glistening through the trees with some imaginative use of flash creating some of my favorite images of the day.
