It is always a wonderful experience photographing anyone’s wedding but when it is a couple who you are good friends with it is something extra special. I have known Dave & Alison for some time so when I was approached to document their day it really was a privilege that couldn’t be turned down.

They chose The West Mill at Derby to celebrate their day and what a fab venue it is. Spread out over several floors it is the perfect self-contained grade 1 listed venue with a unique industrial feel to it, the photo opportunities were endless.

The West Mill has a perfect bridal preparation room set aside with wonderful window light providing great opportunities to capture a full-length dress shot. In fact, the whole place floods with light providing areas for great flexibility when capturing dark and moody images along with light bright and airy ones.

With the West Mill set against the river Derwent, the opportunities for outdoor images were just as exciting. All in all a cracking day for a cracking couple. congratulations to you both!
