Stubton Hall, is a grand country house built between 1813 and 1814 by Sir Jeffry Wyatville for Sir Robert Heron. This impressive Grade II listed building has a rich history, having served as a boarding school from 1952 to 2003 before being transformed into the elegant hotel and wedding venue it is today. The hall’s stately architecture and beautiful grounds make it a popular choice for couples seeking a unique and memorable setting for their wedding day.

I particularly enjoy capturing the entrance into the ceremony room as this can produce some really emotive images and memories.

What about Confetti?

This always makes for fun dramatic images on a wedding and I always recommend to brides to purchase some for their guests before the day to ensure everyone can join in the fun.

It is always best to follow the advice of the venue on this too as they may have restrictions in place.

Group Photographs

Group photos are always a must on the wedding day and there are lots of options available for where you can take them. When I capture photographs for couples I usually see to have the sun behind them and this is no different for group shots. This helps avoid you and your guest squinting into the sun and can make for fab pictures.

As the sun sets at the back of the Hall during a wedding day this makes it ideal for group photos in front of the Hall or set against the gardens.

Couples Portraits

I always find that when the group photographs are finished this is the ideal time to spend taking some couples photographs. It allows you a little time away from your guests, just for the two of you, to reflect on the day and enjoy your time together without distraction.

The staff at Stubton Hall really do a fantastic job of looking after guests. Nothing is too much trouble and you can really see this throughout the day particularly so when it comes to catering for the wedding breakfast. The food produced is to die for and the space and setting available for your guests is wonderful.

There are so many fab cake makers in and around Lincoln offering a whole host of options to meet your theme. Having the cake cutting captured by your photographer at the Hall is a great way to remember it before it all gets eaten.

The Evening Reception

Another one of my absolute favourite times of the day is the evening celebrations. As the sun draws down on the horizon the sunsets at the back of the estate are to die for. A great way to finish off the evening is with some EPIC wedding images.
